Meet Chef Samie
My journey in hospitality began during a challenging day in college when, battling the blues, I tied on my apron and discovered the transformative joy of serving others. That moment revealed to me that true hospitality is rooted in selfless service. Inspired, I pursued a degree in Hospitality and Tourism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I went on to work in New York's hotel scene, only to realize the industry's disconnect from the heart of hospitality. I walked away with a vow to return to a more meaningful, love-driven approach. Since 2012, I’ve committed to this promise by hosting and cooking for loved ones—although on a monthly basis, most notably with hosting an annual Friendsgiving for up to 45 guests. Culinary expression is how I show love, and hosting is my own way of writing stories—Today I bring that spirit—rich with heart, memory, and intention—to every table that I serve.
